Position Summary:

 Instructors certified to teach in the Parent Education Department may teach childbirth preparation courses, refresher courses, prenatal breastfeeding, Teen prenatal, Baby Child saver or facilitate the Mothertalk Group. They may represent the department at public appearances and as guest speakers at public events. All classes require an updated syllabus annually which promotes informed choices and family centered care. 

Scheduled Hours

Per diem, hours assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:    BA or BS in education or health education, 
   

Graduate of an accredited nursing program preferred

At least one year of experience providing care to pregnant/pp women

     
     
Certification/License:   
   IBCLE certified Lactation Consultant  
   Certified BLS AHA instructor required
